The verse saying God  so loved the world means that God loved the people that were in the world.  It is not bad to look at a TV even as it is not bad to look at whatever else.  A person must being aware of the subliminal massages on TV. That is important. I see them. I don't know of any scriptural support for the term soul ties. Memorial day is worshiping the dead.  Memorial day lifts up the sacrifices of men above the sacrifice of Jesus. Jesus could have used power that set the stars in the universe against his enemies not doing that. God needs to be in us loving others.
